I'm not surprised. Most people that I talk to around here think the Florida election was rigged to
make Bush the winner.

Since so many Americans participate in the stock markets, and because of
huge losses this year, I wish that the capitol loss that one writes off against
ordinary income could be increased. At this time, the maximum loss that
can be written off against ordinary income is $3,000.00.

A few years back the amount that could be written off against ordinary income was $5,000.00.
Surely, an increase in the amount that a person or family could write off would provide a little tax
relief for the middle class and others.
