The inclusion of the Palm Beach overvote totals is very misleading. The article was cataloging the overvote, which is useful information if you're trying to figure out what happened on Election Day. They never suggested that you should count all the Gore-Buchanan overvotes for Gore, just that they were probably made by someone who voted for Buchanan by mistake, and then tried to "correct" the ballot.

There's no doubt that more people intended to vote for Gore than Bush. I'm still waiting to find out how many people did vote for Gore vs. Bush.
