Word out that Japan may NOT let their banks go belly up and nationalize them instead. Don't laugh, they can do this. Even asking myself the logic behind the timing of this "news" as I remember similar speculation circulating over 10 years ago when I made Japan my home. (In fairness, it may have been precipatated by recent changes to the accounting practices of listing fair value on equity ownership). That been said we may have faced the capitulation in the face yesterday with all futures in lock down during the pre-open. The fact that things didn't get much worse is a positive and sets us up for a big "relief" small rally. (I stress the word relief, not rally).
I will now start looking for resistance points instead of support levels, at least for the rest of the week... (Once a daytrader, always a daytrader). As always with my finger on the trigger...
