Zoltan, I'm sure you read this story in the WSJ about Toyota's quality program. interactive2.wsj.com Fascinating story. The Japanese haven't forgotten what made them an economic powerhouse and American manufacturers still haven't learned the lessons Japan has to teach. To me it emphasizes the stark reality that not even the genius and fanatical hard work of the Japanese people can overcome the dead weight of a bloated, wasteful, vitality sapping government. If ever there was a nation of Atlases that needed to do some shrugging, it's Japan.
