Mike VRTA products are interoperable with Alcatel, but they are not ALA supplier....
ON last the CC, crying Cisco kid stated that last Q they lost some market shares in DSL space, but Chambers quickly responded that it was only for short period of time.
As you know CSCO won complementary to Pronto deal with Ameritech for ATM,DSL etc last summer ( cisco is not in Pronto, which is mainly Pac Bell and Southwestern Bell pus some Ameritech)
At the beginning of this year I read article where some analysts stated that Cisco is not delivering at Ameritech as promised.
Several weeks ago SBC said it will cost them few penny from eps in Q1 to quickly upgrade Ameritech.
At the same time when one analyst asked Chambers at last CC in early February how is Cisco doing in SBC , more specifically Ameritech, the answer was:
SBC is moving its network to packet network
no further details were provided by J.Ch.
I guess that part everybody knew.
So who is upgrading Ameritech ?......
