"...now wondering how much inflation we will actually see..." You are correct. The inflation will be met by powerful deflationary forces coming from the market bust, so it might be swamped out. This is why I said if the bonds move up over the contract highs into a new uptrend, it will be even worse than if it failed. It would truly signal the beginning of a long, long bust. As for real estate, I can say for sure that it has been moving, even up here in Vancouver. A lot of spec building has been done over the past few years and buildings coming online are now sitting empty. They can't find any more 20-something web kids to pay the mortgages at this point. T.
