Ahh- a real contrarian. I like that. Nature abhors a vacuum, and a contrarian abhors an assumption. <g> You are quite right to question all assumptions. Many of them are indeed WRONG. Unfortunately it is not ALL. So, I suppose we will just have to watch for clues on deflation/inflation. There may in fact be a 'Max Pain' point for consumer debt, whether the consumer is employed or not.

Besides the stock and bond markets- what are some other tell tale signs of deflation we can watch for?
