IMO, the next killer app is going to be something revolutionary, not merely an extension of current technology such as voice recogition. Imagine for example a PDA where you would simply ask a question like "How many TFT's in a standard LCD screen" and up pops an answer or links to sites that are very close to having the answer. The ideal would be a device which would analyze the question and feedback an answer with a synthesized voice instead of making you try out links through a laborious method of trial and error. That is something I could get excited about. Current technology, even good voice recognition, is nothing I can get excited about enought to purchase a new PDA.
