Just a thought, but the peer to peer emerging technology--like Napster & Gnutella--would seem ideal for finding another side of a bet. If one can search for a song you want on someone else's hard disk then why couldn't you also find someone to wager against. Who needs the bookie if your PC can provide you with the opposite side of the action, and no vigorish to pay?

Peer to peer bypasses the need for a central server. It just refers you to the the PC with the info. you want.

This is just another example of the as yet dreamed up innovations that internet gambling will make possible. And another reason why government had better approve & regulate internet gambling before they're left out of the loop!!!

DON'T BUY ANOTHER LOTTO TICKET until your state starts offering them online. I wrote my state lottery that I won't buy another ticket this year unless they, at least, offer internet subscription sales like MD. And I want to use my credit card.
