I can't imagine the economy getting so bad that NG won't continue to be strong. California is pretty much screwed at this point along with the state's politicians who will be held accountable in the next election. They will get energy supplies in balance eventually as industry leaves the state, but that will take years.

Waiting for Godot? Gold's failure to mount a meaningful rally in the wake of the Japan banking crisis shows how meaningless it is as a store of value. The weak economy will likely push it lower as producers continue to hedge forward production. Those expecting a dramatically weaker dollar will be disappointed. There is no place else to go.
