Go read David Stockman's book, The Triumph of Politics to see how their minds work, and what their philosophy of government is.

Sam

All that I have to know about how doubya's mind works is that he can't even read David Stockman's book (let alone HAVE a philosophy of government)...

<<Typical hyperbole.>>

No, actually, an error. As best I can calculate the NYSE and the NASDAQ have lost about 6 trillion in value from their highs of last year. That is arrived at using the exchanges reports of the net value of equity listed on the different exchanges at various points in time and intercalating to arrive at the highs and lows. If you have a better number I would be happy to hear it.

Still my point stands. Chambers, et. al., may be Republicans but it is a stretch to think that they would trash the world's economy, their companies' stock price, and their business, even short term, for a lower tax rate and the right to hire a few software programmers from India.

Last that I am going to say on this very off-topic subject.
