Edelstone hinted a couple of weeks ago that the odds favoured a ruling that narrowed the scope of Rambus' patents. Perhaps he knew more than he let on.

It depends on whether they can stampede the herd of bulls. <G> I do not think we are going to get a clarification from the company or Edelstone until there is actually a written ruling. In the past the judge has ruled in part for and against both sides. Gone unnoticed today is the good news that Infringeon has dropped its antitrust lawsuit and is now betting the farm on patent validity and infringement issues as well as the JEDEC stuff. So the case is getting simpler as we move to trial.
