This "3pts from the hide-a-bed" player appears to be the only True Sofa King in the crowd...

Boa Babe,

I have bad news for you. In order to explain, I shall relay the course of events that took place the day I infamously registered for the NCAA tournament.

First, I registered as Bob Smith. I then chose my bracket selections. When I discovered that I was registered as Bob Smith rather than the screen name Curmudgeon 7 (who took the name “Curmudgeon” anyway?), I realized that I needed to make a change.

Not knowing that a simpler solution was available, I proceeded to register as mtns_and_money and then chose my picks under that name. Just one problem. Being an honest (no comments please!) person, I realized that I had an unfair advantage with two registered names and two sets of smart, sure-to-win(!) bracket selections. So being the selfless gal that I am, I purposely changed the selections for Bob Smith to bad choices so that “Bob” wouldn’t fare well in the contest. Silly as it sounds, I was trying to do the right thing. (This is mortifying!)

I suspect you see the problem here. I’m not so sure that you’ll really want to take over the “Bob Smith” spot because the choices basically (sorry for being indelicate here) suck and it’s too late to change them.

Did you get my e-mail with my mtns_and_money selections? (It was attached as an html file.)

As I mentioned to you, I follow pro basketball far more than college hoops, so neither my M&M nor my Bob picks are likely to do exceedingly well. But at least I pretty much stuck to seeding for my M&M choices. (I deliberately went against seeding when I changed the Bob picks.)

Off the top of my head, I think you’re better off sharing the M&M name. But let me take a peak at the BS choices again. Maybe it’s not as bad as I remember. (I’ll send a copy of the Bob choices to you as well.) Either way you want to do it is fine with me. I’m happy to share the M&M spot. We can split the proceeds if we (miraculously!) win. I just don’t want you to inherit a deliberately bad set of picks.
