If he had actually recommended that people sell at that level, it would have been a big win, and that was certainly a big factor in leading me to participate in the October buy. I figured that if he had the range pegged so well in the summer rallies, all I had to do was sell when his October estimate of the upside was met, and not wait for him to actually tell me to get out. But I was wrong. So he did not identify the top of the rally in the Fall, and he did not identify the top of the rally in January, which are the two significant rallies since then. If we give him partial credit for the summer rally, the score on picking CTR tops is 0.5 wins, and two losses. I wish it were otherwise, but if I don't acknowledge his failures, people will never listen to me when I defend his successes.
