Kirk, my 15" CRT monitor manual says: consumption 100 watts max. The 15" display on my Dell laptop uses 3.9 watts.

Thanks for mentioning this, otherwise I wouldn't have looked it up. That's a savings of 96 watts or almost 1kwhour if on for 10 hours per day. If I pay $0.15 per kwhr I save over $50 a year in electricity cost.
