Pierre,

for old times sake, I will issue you one pass (which you already used), for kind of violating thread rules.

As for China, here are my thoughts (just speculation based on what has been released):

1) Shanghai Unicom branch already announced their expansion plans. That is one of the 4 Great Wall cities with existing CDMA network.

2) Guangzhou already announced their expansion plans. That is one of the 4 Great Wall cities with existing CDMA network.

3) ZTE and Datang both have positioned to be guaranteed a chunk of the awards, question is only how much. In the aggregate, the Chinese firms will garner 40% of the contracts.

4) Korea has already stated (in the last few articles posted here) that no foreign firms (they mean of course no Korean firms, not all foreign firms) will be allowed to bid individually, only as JV partners with China.

5) MOT is almost guaranteed a chunk, as the benefactor of the trade issues.

6) Nok is shut out of this round. ERICY is unclear.

It will be very interesting to watch what they award late this month or early next month. That will show us how accurate these informal news releases are.
