OT/OT/OT/OT/Howard, it is important to minimize taxes because
I want to be the one deciding how to spend my money for
good works and charity and helping my neighbor
.
I don't want the Government to do it.

I will translate that for you:

In other words, I don't want Bill Clinton with
-cigar ih hole
-while selling to the Chinese enemy missile guiding software
-and advising tax evaders and drug dealers how to apply for pardon
-helping teenage girls with welfare if they have 5 -6 more kids
-while he is cleaning outt The White House
-and is sending black berets to bomb teenagers at Waco
-bombing innocents in Bosnia to divert from his affair

etc etc,

I don't want Billy and the Dem boys deciding what my good works should be

Capisc?It's quite simple.There are moral and religious choices as to who needs help and how it should be given.
The Government is incapable of making these
important religious and philosophical choices.

By definition,
===============
the Government is amoral.
==========================

As it should be.
Otherwise,whose morality are you going to endow the
Government with? Yours? Mine? His? Hers?

For the more cerebrally endowed:

Should charity by Individual or Institutional?

The Bible, Koran,Jewish old Testament
all say that charity is individual, not Institutional.
Charity does not belong in the Government.
It belongs to the individual.

OT

How sad for a person to think that nothing is more important in this world than to minimize his/her taxes. What a narrow range of interest, how self-centered, how shallow. Forget about repaying our huge debt, the environment, the handicapped, crippling illnesses, and the misery of many of the word's peoples. Give me MY MONEY, that's all that counts. How sad.

These are the same folks who said ad nauseum that Dubya would save the market. Well, we all know how that turned out and now we're stuck with a president whose promises are already being broken. "Writ in water," indeed.

I'm tempted to say any nation that elects an idiot to the highest office deserves what it gets. But we didn't.

Howard ~

Whatever happened to Rush Limbaugh? He was on a role a few years ago... he was everywhere... now he is gone... or at least I haven't seen him.

Maybe he's day trading with T.A.?! How about that TA? Where is Rush? :-)
