I just shorted a bunch of QQQs near the close.....this day was ugly- uglier than a -30 down day implies....1st, we couldn't even get above yesterday's high.....2nd, all the "new, new" guys were HORRIBLE today: ITWO, NTAP, CHKP, SEBL.........Dow couldn't even manage a 100 pt. bounce.....I say we gap down in the morning.....after today....I'm not too worried about a runaway gap on the upside.....I figure that any gap up will get sold....and, I think players will be hesistant to gap up given today's miserable failure...

I'm playing the gap below 1923....we gap that...and we could fall pretty nicely in the morn.......Japan rally had its effect today....even if Japan goes up 500 pts.....I think we got that "surprise" today....and, if it falls down again, folks will get depressed again.....we'll see.....

Re: Oracle. No one believe Ellison...he could come out and say positive things.....and everyone would be "yeah-right Larry"....but I think he'll sing the same tune...."no visibility"...

Compaq is warning......damn, one of my paper trades was shorting Dell...
