This is consistent with the statement you quote from me: "the DDR DIMM guys caught this one before it got released to the public.", unless you misinterpreted the "customers" in the original article as "public".

Those "customers" were motherboard manufacturers and, possibly, systems integrators. The "public" is the people who end up with the machine on their desk, got it now? If not, we will have to have Markman hearings.

The real problems are the ones that show up in public, as they imply large volume recalls. The above problems mean that production is delayed, which is a lot cheaper. And I don't give a fig about my interoperability skills. (no grin)
