I don't know squat about Rambus, but I know a real genuine Geek------ His attitude about Rambus was disgust----- All Geeks knew about this stuff, and Rambus tried to somehow own it.... His attitude seemed to be that they were trying to make money by getting in the way of progress... I guess it's something like all of the castles on the Rhine trying to collect tolls....

It has to do with disclosures Rambus made to JEDEC and IEEE, and to its shareholders at the 2000 shareholder's meeting, and attempts by Rambus to broaden its patents to cover matters within JEDEC standards, which is all stuff you probably understand better than I do.

Don't be surprised if this starts a windfall of new information. All Rambus was is a company of lawyers. No one wanted to get sued by them. They won't be afraid anymore. JMHO
