the simple flaw in your argument is that nothing grows forever, as suncom rudely demonstrated. It's obvious that they matter now.

u r essentially saying that an investor could pay ANY price for suncom. That's obviously wrong. An investor @ $60 would obviously have been better off in cash or bonds.

Hi Prognosticator - cross ref discussion on PE back on CSCO thread too.

Simply stated, PE as an accurate measure of comparative price between equities depends on many assumptions. Most of which are violated by growth stocks.

Using PE to measure a stock is like weighing people by measuring their height. The two factors correlate... but loosely. PEG is new economy garbage.

Use Both Sparingly.
