I think that point exists for taxation. Just 'cuz you don't like it, you have other options. Like the Caymans or such. Lot's of expatriates there but if gangs of people started kidnapping rich ex-Americans, then you might be SOL. Did you know that there are 20,000 kidnappings for ransom worldwide per year?

You may just have to suffer along with the rest of us so we don't all have to trip over your corpse or feeble body with hand outstretched as we come and go from our daily business. I for one, think this is a good thing about the ideal system I envision. But as an ideal, it is flawed. I don't have a lot of material needs, though I'm pretty well off now by some standards, I've been poor and generally wasn't a lot less happy then. I had different problems, but I was young. I'm not sure I'd want those same risks when old. I've been to places where poverty is more of a reality (at least the begging). It isn't unheard of in this country.
