past performance is not a guarantee of future results. also, one doesn't just buy increasing earnings. one must buy at the *right* valuation or take excessive risk.

yes, that is what she meant. she's wrong. the pendulum is historical valuation relative to growth. the middle is about another 50% drop - assuming the economy doesn't tank.
