I would like to think this thread would not break out in a bunch of I told you so's at this point. I have only recently begun to post here, but I think it would be very bad form to rub it in at this point.

The real problem is that many naive investors followed his lead. Yes, it was their choice of course, but I am talkng about compassion here. I guess it's understandable given the apparently correct calls he made in bullish times.

The story is told of a parrot on the floor of the NYSE. It gained a reputation for being the greatest of market callers, even though it could mimick but one phrase -- "Gawk -- buy the dip!". Repeated ideas, soothe the mind, soothe the mind, soothe the mind...

As for Tom, well, it is very likely that he just does not know what he is doing. I hope that he and others in that crowd can learn a new bag of tricks, because over the next few years they will surely need them.

As many of you know, I do not consider myself a permabear. I do not think this down will go on forever -- that's just silly. When we turn I expect we will have a wonderful rally lasting many months. I also expect that rally to fail. I pray that I am not too stubborn at the turns.

Cheers.
