it was mentioned that this was due to options expiration on
the SPs this AM.

Just a friendly reminder for those who never hug a chart (not you BC), ORCL has no support here at all. Hasn't had any since it left $23 and wont get any until it gets to $11/$12 area -- $10 looks even better.

It does have some rising support that comes out of the price action over the last 12 years, but it isn't very good. The pause in the $16/$17 area was based on such support.
