What's interesting about the latest NYTimes poll is that Americans give AlGore a very poor rating, despite all the good press the Media has lavished on him: The poll shows AlGore with a net negative rating of 39 neg-37pos. Contrast that with President Bush with a huge net positive of 42pos-19neg. Funny, I just read some Hollywood slob say that AlGore would win 90-10 now: We hear that Miramax chief Harvey Weinstein, famous for his volcanic eruptions, blew his top yesterday at President Bush's campaign adman, Mark McKinnon, at the Talk magazine/UBS Paine Webber conference in Santa Barbara. Our spies tell us the explosion occurred during a panel on Hollywood and politics moderated by television interviewer David Frost, in front of an audience at the Bacara Resort that included Barbra Streisand and hubby James Brolin, presidential economic speechwriter David Frum (who apparently has time to hang at a California spa even though the markets are tanking), Bill Clinton lawyer Bob Barnett (who was doing some major bonding with Brolin and Streisand) and Clinton pals Ronald and Beth Dozoretz (trading phone numbers and business cards in a frenzy of networking). "Harvey Weinstein just blasted President Bush and then started blasting McKinnon, who was seated in the audience," one eyewitness recounted. "Frost asked the panel if Hollywood was too liberal, and this led Harvey into ranting that Bush didn't even win the election, that if you had a recount today, Al Gore would get 90 percent of the vote and Bush would get 10 percent, and that Bill Clinton would be the honorary Treasury secretary and we wouldn't have this economic crisis, because the way the stock market was going we're all going to be wiped out.".... washingtonpost.com Imagine, trying to blame Bush for the Clinton Recession and the Clinton Bear Market!
