Brian,
Reality bites. Maybe it will bite AG's ass on Tuesday. My worry is that the long wait for interest rate relief which in fact failed to occur 8/9 months ago(when it should have begun) has delayed recovery well into 2002. I keep thinking of the wall street analyst who compared lowering rates at this late date to pushing string. That worries me. The good news is that tech companies dont really sell product, they sell new technology and intellectually they seem to understand that. Intels capex number speaks to that point and their ceo said recently if they were a cigaret company they could cut capex without much effect but selling old gen chips ultimately has no future. The worry is that at retail there will be no buyers but my man on the street discussions indicate that with the exception of Fred Levine, the purchase of new toys will resume. In any case AG needs to do the dramatic on tuesday if only to help the markets reverse a dramatic loss of wealth. mike
