Ron -- ORCL: Ouch! Thanks for posting that--. I had heard noises to that effect, but am glad to have it confirmed. I am planning to take a good, hard look at ORCL this summer or fall for a buy-and-hold. Like I said earlier, I like the vision they have and think the market opportunity before them is real, despite the major slip-up this quarter. ORCL's comps for the next few quarters are going to be brutal, though, so I think there's more hope to drain out of the stock. If the economic slowdown persists, I could actually see ORCL going to the 7-9 range, as there are a number of very large holders who could decide to throw in the towel on continuing bad news.

You don't happen to have sources at IBM, do you? <GGG> I noticed research on the wires recently that showed IBM picking up market share on SUNW and HWP in the server market. It feels like IBM is emerging as the real tech winner in the midst of this slowdown, but I'd like other perspectives on that, because I don't feel that I have a reliable take on the company.
