Most people, even atheists, have times when they look upon the wonder of creation, say from a mountain ridge or laying in a field on a clear, starry night, or when they see their child for the first time, and want to thank someone for the fact that they are alive. I am sorry if you are bereft of this sentiment. It must be terrible.

I never said I was bereft of that sentiment. But unfortunately--I cannot thank both my parents for being alive.

Most people when they watch their child die of leukemia wish to curse the bastard who was so stupid that He tortured the innocent and often rewarded the guilty. I am sorry if you are bereft of this sentiment. It must be terrible to sacrifice your own sense of goodness--just to assuage your own terror by kissing some imaginary ass.

All of your end questions were addressed in the body of the argument.

I suppose I missed it...
