World DRAM Price] Contract Price for 128Mb DRAMs Falls to US$5
March 14, 2001 (TOKYO) -- The 128Mb DRAM prices for the contract and spot markets dropped to US$5 in the United States, Europe and Asia during the 30-day period ended Feb. 23 (Jan. 25-Feb.23, 2001).



According to the world DRAM price survey conducted by ISIS-LOR, which is based in London, Houston and Singapore, the moving average prices of 128Mb DRAMs (PC133, 16Mb x 8) for large users were US$5.76 in North America, US$5.95 in Europe and US$5.81 in Asia. Additionally, the spot prices of 64Mb DRAMs on a daily basis declined to US$1.

Compared with DRAM prices from the previous week (the moving average for the 30-day period ended Feb. 16), the prices declined 5.08 percent in North America, fell 3.25 percent in Europe, and fell 3.49 percent in Asia.

As for memory modules, the spot prices of 128MB DIMMs (PC133) decreased 7.03 percent from the previous week to US$36.81 in North America, fell 5.82 percent to US$37.38 in Europe, and fell 3.88 percent to US$37.15 in Asia.

DJ-I have personal disdain for bankers and banks-maybe the banks JUST won't GET their customers money back!They have along litany of making stupid loans-and then going to the golf course-(-VLCCs-Real Estate-and so on--etc-brokerage firms trying to make like banks are another story entirely and a real joke IMO.
