Just a small correction........Mig-17's weren't available till later in the war. F-86's initially went up against Mig-15's, after F-80's and F-84's were shown to be outclassed by the Migs. Additionally, P-51's got into a couple of tangles with the Migs! Talk about a mismatch......and lots of the Migs were piloted by Soviet pilots with lots of hours.
