Duke of URL; Please don't take this the wrong way - I'm not lecturing. However, in light of recent efforts by companies to sue posters on the chat boards, you might want to be careful about reposting a statement which, if untrue, is defamation per se. Defamation per se is a legal principle which allows the defamed party to sue without having to show damage. The mere making of the statement is sufficient to have damaged the reputation of the aggrieved without further proof. If untrue, who is to say that cpq and Clarke would not choose to take legal action? That post is one strong, unambiguous statement. And liability extends to not only the original poster but to those who "republish" or repost the defamatory statement. The law places a duty on those who republish defamatory statements to ascertain the truth or falsity of the statement prior to repeating it. Truth of the statement is a defense.
