I think the higher consumer confidence data is more important than even the difference between a .5 and .75% rate cut. I bought into orcl at 14 3/8. I like the way it has held up today. I also bought into cats at 3 7/8. It's a micro-cap semi co. that has great fundamentals and is in a very nice niche mrkt. It may lose money in a sustained downturn but it has good numbers: Per-Share Data Book Value (mrq) $2.17 Earnings (ttm) $1.48 Earnings (mrq) $0.35 Sales (ttm) $4.75 Cash (mrq) $1.93 Valuation Ratios Price/Book (mrq) 1.84 Price/Earnings (ttm) 2.71 Price/Sales (ttm) 0.84 Here's what they do: <<Catalyst Semiconductor Inc. designs, develops and markets a broad range of programmable IC products serving the micro-controller applications market. Such applications include communication, computing, industrial automation, consumer and automotive.>> This is all from yahoo finance so it may not be fully accurate and up to date. Let's see what Tuesday and the fed comittee action brings.Ed
