Change is good. Whether topic is oil or gold? My concern is that most contributors to this thread provide me with a learning experience, whatever the topic may be.

Agree with you that the XOI and OSX will provide most lucrative trades. Just that I am more cautious now than before.

A lot said about gold as an inflation hedge, it being a good holding should we have devaluation of the dollar. Most important to me is the level of demand for credit. If the consumer demand for credit falls, then I think the demand for gold will pick up. If the Fed is increasing the money supply to stimulate consumer spending and reduces interest rates to boost credit expansion; that seems to be a form of inflation to me. What will move gold higher is the perception that it may have value increasing.
