Mag,

My Mother has Alzheimer's disease, and the members of the family that are close to such a situation must find some way to cope with the tragedy of the disease. Since there is nothing one can do to arrest the deterioration brought on by the disease, a little humor can be of some help. Although my Mother is still alive, it is quite painful to look into those empty eyes, and realize that she is not even seeing me, much less recognizing me. She has not known who I was for well over a year now. I have now moved some distance from the facility where she lives, but had limited my visits a great deal because of the depressed state they brought on for the rest of the day.

Those on the LWP would laugh at a Christian being eaten by a lion.
