NY fed differs FYI... it bottomed out @ 1.5%... also there appears to be gaps in this data, can't tell.

I don't think an interest rate wiggle of 1-2% can have the type of material impact needed to destroy the economy. Ask your self this, if a business plan works while the fed funds rate is at 4% but not 6%, is the problem the BUSINESS PLAN or the interest rates? I think it's foolish and naive to be blaming anything that's happening now on the rate hikes that started in 1999. JMHO
