Well Wayne, under these conditions, a flat day is probably as welcome as a rally ! lol Here's a long term view of what's happening. It ain't pretty. :-( bigcharts.com Notice I put the chart on logarithmic scale. The far left of the chart is 1991. If you use 1992 - 1994 time period as the nice, sustainable, 11% - 15% growth trend line, and just extend that line out to the right of the chart, you get .... S&P 500 = 900 to 1000. .... and that's the "soft landing" scenario. Chris
