If we get 50 basis points we will selloff and if we get 75 we will selloff after a knee jerk reaction. The market is going to do what its going to do. Until the supply of stock comes in line with demand then we continue to selloff. I feel as though we will continue to see a steady drain until we get to the 1500/1600 area and think we'll see the bottom sometime in the summer. Looking for a turn in the economy late Q4 2001 or early 2002. Still looking for 20-30% declines from current levels in many issues. The wildcard is that bear rally that everyone and his brother keeps anticipating...thus it may not happen. Am expecting us to break through the 35/36 VIX ceiling soon. How many times do we need to test this level? Think there will be ample opportunity to get in on the long side in this "U" shaped recovery...
