Greg, putting aside the many other demeaning references in the New Testament to Jews, and looking at just one: is it your position that the New Testament does not say that Jews are liars and that their father is the liar Satan?

If you acknowledge that it does say that Jews are the spawn of Satan (the words being attributed to the Prince of Peace himself), is it your position that this is not inflammatory and defamatory?

P.S.

Greg, you are attempting to make an equation between

1) the moral scourging by the prophets of ancient Israel of their people for various failures of Jewish piety and

2) the absolutist characterizations in the New Testament of Jews as intrinsically evil.

I guess you intend this maneuver to rescue the New Testament from its characterization as anti-Judaic and as encouraging Jew-hatred (based on such items as its calling them the spawn of Satan.) I would suggest that it doesn't do the job.
