"we may never again see those PE and P/S ratios again, not in our lifetimes" - that statement reminds me of sommething that i've been thinking about. In 1981 or 82, Sir John Templeton appeared on Wall $treet Week. The Dow Industrial Average was at 750-850 range. Sir John predicted that we would see a rise in the Dow Indu and that is was likely that we would never see the DOW at such a low level, in our lifetime or in our children's lifetimes. I now wonder how long it will take for the NAS to reclaim 5,100, assuming that it will. I believe that it will, but the time frame will likely be 2-5 years, HOPEFULLY. If things turn into a secular bear market, with sentiment deteriorating, spending slowing leading to more weakening of the economy and Shrub smiling merrily in DC, then it may well take longer than that.
