From what I have heard and read, DSL is theoretically supposed to be better, but that is not always the case. DSL has been accused of having many problems such as nightmares with the local telephone company, your distance from the central telephone office, etc. I have DSL and love it. Most friends of mine use cable and have no complaints. One thing I have heard mentioned is that if too many people use a cable line at the same time it slows down.

Patricia

I heartily support your thoughts.

As both a cable and DSL user for 2 years now I found cable a bit faster but subject to latency issues in prime time so I opted out of cable and have been very satisfied with my DSL service.

Cable Modem or DSL.

Thanks Patricia, Rick, Cow, Ed and whoever answered my message. From the links and info you provided, I think I'll go with DSL.

Thanks much!
