Shaw, 3/31 is the year end for Japanese banks, eh? It's worse than that - this is the first time we have some transparency on the Japanese banks' balance sheet (balance chit) - on the asset side we are going to get a good view of what the government there has been helping them hide for years. Even at Nikkei 14K it won't be pretty but at 12K or less it could really shake the tree, globally. Yours is the best explanation I've seen for the January 3rd move of 50bps. Is Japan the X factor in the Green equation? Rob
