Glenn, i know silicon valley isn't very representative of the rest of the country, but probably still worth noting..... even tho folks are getting laid off right and left around here, they're still getting hired right back, according to the mercury news article i read this am. unemployment is near an all time low of 1.6% in marin and san mateo counties and 1.7% in santa clara county (silicon valley proper). i guess the CA unemployment rate is about 4.3% right now. quite a strong showing, at least at this point in time.....
