I wonder how they are basing their research? Are they only including what computers themselves use? Or are they including everything related to computers? Such as the internet's routers, ATM machines, pay by card gas pumps? Also, are they including such things as required air conditioning for computer systems? Would be interesting to know what they include?
I would like to mention. Back during the "energy crisis", there were maintenance engineers who were having fits. The government was requiring thermostats be set at 72 during summer. At least one I know of had air conditioning systems that were made to also dry the air for the computer systems (Houston). So, the system cooled the air way down. Then heated it back up. This pulled the water out also. Only problem was that it was using far more energy to set the thermostat at 72 than it would have been at 68. But they followed our courageous Presidents orders.
Also...if... California always leads the country in trends... were an absolute truth. We're doomed...doomed...
