DO, you are absolutely correct, imo. Responding to your quibbles:

(1) This is a personal decision based upon my income stream and "family planning" discussions with my new wife. I would not recommend this same strategy for any and all investors.

(2) I brought up the duration of the 1929 debacle as an example of the extreme downside scenario that actually still validates small buys over a period of decline. I agree the likelihood is for this recovery (at least in tech prices) to start much sooner than 2-3 years after the March 2000 collapse.
