Does this traffic run over the pipes that ATHM controls? Specifically, no, but you have the concept wrong. @Home runs on the last mile spanned by Att's local cable network distribution. That network can support enough channels to provide voice and Internet. In other words, does ATHM get any action from the cable telephone traffic ATT is pushing? No, but it doesn't hurt to be bundled with a high quality low cost telephone service, a service which may wish to utilize the TV or PC monitor for video calls.I am in Berkeley and ATT is really going all out in this area. I'm through the tunnel and nothing happening on this side. A few months ago they did a quick door to door campaign. Now they are at it again. Everyone in my area has had a rep call on them in person. The rates are way better than WCOM or PacBell so I switched and I know some others that have. That's great. They've had the equipment in place for a year. I have no idea for what they were waiting. The real funny thing is that when I called the office they told me they could not handle the "roll over" features on a multi-phone line. If you want to promote confusion in your house, have that facility. I don't know what you think but it seems ATT is gaining ground with cable phone. They had better start doing something fast because the stock looks like it's about to crash. Of course, so does every other NYSE stock. They won't sell them because they're trading below book, they'll sell them because they're going down. "In a bear market, the bears are right." --- Joe Granville
