overall, it seems that there is no consistent relationship to Fed interest rate actions and the general market trend unless there is a policy change after an extended period of "benign neglect

Kacy - I was looking at previous monetary expansions on a chart a while ago and it appeared to me that money supply was a more responsive (and inverse) supporting indicator to a market bottom - in the past. If I can dig up a useful chart I shall post it here.

But unlike you, I am just a duffer when it comes to economics.
