Hello Mark; No I did not realize that it was identical to New Age because I have unknowingly used these principals for twenty years based on Twelve Step principles of the AA program. I guess New Age isn't so "New" after all if this is what they use.

It has led more than I can recall to a belief in God and many to a new found faith in Jesus Christ, like it did me.

Many do not admit or realize that our mind is the seat of our emotions and based on lack of control of these emotions, many make wrong decisions that make life impossible to manage.

These meditations are for those who realize that they have a living problem and are willing to follow the advice given in them to become a better, more fulfilled person. I am more or less a person who has experienced an unmanageable life and through open-mindedness and willingness has benefited greatly by reading and practicing these honored principles, creating new found direction in my life and renewed mental health.

Can this happen without a sincere, honest effort on our part? No it can't. Does God rearrange our minds and mental pathways so that a person with mental instability suddenly becomes an emotionally stable person without effort? I would say that I have never witnessed it. God saves but we must do the footwork to overcome our state of mind. It is no easy way, but it is the only way I have found.

There was a time that I did not understand God's Word. God does not reveal himself to a mentally challenged person.

This is what God honors in a person......

"The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit,
A broken and a contrite heart.
These, O God, You will not despise."Psalm 51:17 †

Thanks for mentioning the similarities with New Age. I don't deny your statement. I only know that Twelve Step groups not only in AA but in drug addiction, Overeaters Anonymous, Gamblers Anonymous and dozens of other Twelve Step groups are being helped by this literature and because of it are finding the God of their understanding. Usually the Christian God that they were introduced to as a child by a parent or a grand parent.

Hope this helps. What do you think?

Have a good day,

James
