weekly COT report 3/13 indicates commercials are reducing their net short positions in DOW (10.32% previous week to 4.35%current week)and S&P(19.12% previous week to 15.88%current week).
this seems to lower resistance to the possibility of a rally

Lee, I don't think the market will die; is 900 SPX death? ;)

Seriously - I think any of the outcomes is possible and I'm not particularly skewing my thinking to either side. I'll be taking positions based on what the chart says and at some later date, in Hindsight ;), we'll all know what really happened.

But I do fear for the buy and hold types with no plan for risk management other than buy and hold. Because the worst can still happen.

MIR could fall on SI's data centre, for example!
