I disagree, there is no bs in that statement, the derivatives markets have grown substantially during the 10 year bull, if people want to get leverage, there are plenty of other ways, than using margin.

Michael there is a huge difference between retail margin and professional margin which is 5% this one should had been raised to at least 25% to 30%.

Most DOT.COM's were run by professional investors not retail including day traders. Collusion abounded between WS Houses and retail mutual funds.
